Visa for Non-Work Visits to Indonesia
Visas for Non-Work Purposes are intended for foreign nationals who wish to visit Indonesia for reasons other than employment, such as tourism, family visits, social-cultural activities, or non-commercial business affairs.
There are several types of visas available, including the Single Entry Visit Visa (B211A/B211B) and the Visa on Arrival (VoA). Some countries are granted Visa Exemption facilities, allowing their citizens to stay in Indonesia without a visa for a specific period. The list of eligible countries and the permitted duration of stay vary depending on Indonesia’s immigration policy.
To obtain one of these visas, applicants typically need a valid passport, return ticket, and proof of accommodation.
The Visa on Arrival (VoA) is available for nationals of selected countries and can be obtained directly at Indonesia’s international airports or seaports. It requires a fee and allows a limited stay that can be extended once.
Meanwhile, the Single Entry Visit Visa (B211A/B211B) is suitable for tourism, social visits, cultural activities, or non-work business purposes. Applying for this visa usually requires additional documents such as a sponsorship letter and proof of financial means. Applications can be submitted through Indonesian embassies or consulates abroad, or via the e-Visa system online.
This visa is typically valid for 60 days and may be extended in accordance with existing regulations.
